Katherine Vincent

Katherine Vincent heads up the Johnston Withers Clare office.

Not a local by birth, but definitely one by inclination, Katherine moved to Clare in 2000 after a year practising in Adelaide. Under her hand the Clare office has built from a one day a week concern to a full-time, thriving, general practice – serving not only the town but also the wider region.

Katherine prides herself on her service delivery. She has supported her clients through the full range of legal issues that a country practice brings – particulary in areas of wills, estates, property law, agri-business and commercial law. Food and wine law is a particular interest.  In addition to her legal work for local wineries and producers, Katherine serves as Brand Ambassor for Bird in Hand winery and is responsible for their Clare Valley sales.

She also oversees Johnston Withers’ growing conveyancing team, which now incorporates the long established practice of Sue Barry Conveyancing.

Passionate about country life, Katherine has thrown herself into the community. She has served for 10 years on the board of Joseph’s Primary School; is the proud manager of the junior squad of the award-winning Hilltown Tennis Club (and an active player herself); helped establish the Clare chapter of Operation Flinders and regularly raises funds to provide opportunities for disadvantaged youth; and was a founding member of the Sevenhill CWA. She rides, hikes, writes, gardens, cooks, entertains, travels and, in her spare time, practices yoga. She also maintains a strong connection to Scandinavian culture, history and language, first fostered when she lived in Denmark for a year on student exchange, and kept fresh through regular visits (most recently to Iceland).
